Three Strikes for the Triple-X Domain Proposal

NewsFactor - By a 9-5 vote, the governing board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers rejected a proposal by ICM Registry to create a top-level domain (TLD) with the extension .xxx. The vote, which occurred on Friday in Lisbon, Portugal, on the final day of ICANN's 28th International Public Meeting, brings the curtain down on a seven-year campaign by ICM to establish the controversial domain.
